Is it possible you’re pressing the stop button twice? It’s my experience that pressing stop once retains your place and pressing twice does not. You should check the set up menus for help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think I figured it out. The TV series "Luther" that I am watching is just on regular basic DVDs. Apparently, there is very little information on them because not only does the player not remember if I stop a show, it doesn't even give me any information when I pause it - like how much time is left on the show. However, when I watched a 4K John Wick movie and pause it, it tells me everything like how many minutes I've watched and how many left to go. And not only did it keep my place when I stopped the movie and turned it off, but it also kept my place when I removed the disc. When I put it back in a few weeks later, it asked me if I wanted to resume playback and it picked up right where I had left off. So, I guess it all depends on the discs themselves and how much info is on them.

It should be noted that the saved point is cleared if the media is removed and that the resume play function is not supported on BD-Video discs, including BD-J. Hope this helps! -C
