Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, The player itself does not have an amplifier in it, so it cannot power speakers. It can be connected to an AV receiver that has an HDMI input that can handle the 4K signal. I think it is HDMI 2.2. You can also plug it in to your 4K tv and feed the sound to an AVR or to a soundbar if that is what you are using. I hope this helps.
