You'll have to adjust the settings on the TV yourself. I can definitely recommend watching a setup video about the Pansasonic UB820 for a quick setup there is one out there and for your TV (I have the same one) go to rtings and they have specifics for how to properly adjust and calibrate your TV. As for HDR and Dolby Vision rtings recommends using I believe Technicolor expert for HDR, and Cinema Home? I can't remember off the top of my head for DV. Those settings are automatic anytime an HDR output is displayed and no need to tweak anything.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same model and year LGTV and am using the OLED setting on the this Panasonic Blu-ray player very successfully with it. If you should happen to have adjusted your LG settings poorly, the Blu-ray player won't necessarily compensate for it; but if you're starting with a picture that is already good, this will make it even better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Advanced HDR settings are for tone mapping to different brightness capabilities of different TVs. You're settings on your TV will operate as they normally do but the player will adjust the brightness output to match your TV and roll off the highlights gradually accordingly so you don't lose brightness detail. The UB820 also has brightness and other settings but I wouldn't mess with anything other than the sharpness. This players sharpness controls are killer!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to do the' tone mapping' on the player That is adjust using HDR settings on the remote and tailor them to your TV this will adjust levels above 1000 nits. Then the player will output the best settings for your TV. The TV then will optimize the rest of the signal below 1000 nits
