The Panasonic DP-UB820 does have two HDMI outputs. One of these HDMI outputs is video/audio capable which you would connect to the HDMI input of your television. The other output is audio only and is used to connect to the HDMI input of an audio video receiver.

In that case you'd want the video direct to the TV, and the other HDMI port on the player to run to the AV Receiver or pre-processor. One other common use is with projectors. In this player, the ports' output is configurable to video only/audio only.
