“I have the LG oled55c7p and ultra roku,would this player plus a good amp be enough for movies and music or do I need to get an a/v receiver? Can I adjust volume with ub820 ? Speakers are 4ohm 150-300w emotivas airmotivs. Thinking Monolith amps. Thx.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, for the amount of money, this would not be a good choice. This is for a receiver so you can play DTS:X and Dolby Atmos as a receiver contains the decoder for those codecs. Audio is pass through as all UHD players and will not control volume.

Please try again later.the panasonic ub820 has a volume control on the remote but its there to control the volume on your tv only. the panasonic does have 7.1 channel analog output that can be used with a receiver that has a 7.1 channel input or a preamp processor which does have a 7.1 channel input both options gives you the use of the volume control from the receiver or preamp processor do not connect your panasonic directly to any stand alone amp.doing so without the use of a volume control means your amp will be out put at full capacity at all times i hope this help
