It has a few display options. You can see what the forward facing camera sees, or the rear view camera, a mix of both where the front view takes up must of the screen and a small corner shows the rear camera view or off (no display). Since I got it for my dad I don’t remember exactly which button changes the view but since it doesn’t have that many buttons you’d find it really quickly.
