This thing Works by having two 12 v supplies....one is switched one is constant.... The constant supply is for the parked mode and the switched is for the driving mode. When you turn the ignition "on" the camera is always on and recording. When you turn the ignition off...the camera enters parking mode and only records when motion is detected. When you return to your vehicle and start the car you are given the option of viewing the park mode video.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When the car is turned off..the camera goes into sleep/park mode. This activates a motion sensor on camera so that if there is any movement around your car, the camera turns on and records the activity.

I tried to disable that feature by not connecting to always on power. The camera only works when you connect both ignition on and always on power as per instructions.

Once you turn your car off your camera will go into parking mode, which is basically a mix of your car battery and the cameras built in battery. Once your car battery drops to a certain level, the parking cable stops charging the device. That way it doesn’t kill your car battery. You can set the drop voltage level to the point you want it by opening the device and setting the jumper. This is a must have for a dash camera. Mine has already caught 2 hit and runs in parking mode in the last 4 months. And since you have a video, it will cut your insurance processing down to one day.
