ive been flying my parrot bebop 2 for 2 years and had no issues with my app, given its not freeflight 6 but I would expect a similar experience
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have personally never used the DJI app, but know people who have. I have used the Parrot FreeFlight 6 android app with my Google Nexus 6P running android 8.01. I didn't have any issues using the app. The app did not crash or lose communication with the drone at any time. I did use the included controller to fly the drone and the app to land the drone. i walked away with no incident.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have owned several Parrot drones from the AR 2.0 to the Bebop 2 and have never had a real issue with their apps. I'm sure the android version will be released very soon, if it hasn't been already. No nagging about NFZ's and not as many updates as DJI.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I only have iOS but in the forms everybody says it runs good on Samsung phones
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have three DJI drones. I have others as well but DJI are the most technological. So, with the Phantom 3 Professional, my first real drone, its rock solid, heavy and well built, powerful, and of course smart. Then the Mavic Air....just perfect, a little noisy, but smart. For some strange reason I just had to have a Spark. Pound for pound at $399 with a controller, direct from DJI, best money spent, period. Programming and such, the more sophisticated a drone is, the more software. However, the DJI products are not difficult to work with at all. Let me tell you, buy a Spark, learn it inside and out, then venture out and buy others. One reason I'm hear, I'm looking and learning even with 9 drones, it's fun to have another!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mavic Air or the Mavic Pro? I fly it with a Samsung Note 8...I have not had a single issue. The Anafi has a better camera and the app is stupid simple. I would compare it more with the DJI Mavic AIR...much quieter too
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can attest 100% that the Freeflight 6 app works perfectly well with the S9+ since that is what I am using and have had 0 issues. I have also used an older Note5, but I don't recommend the Note5 for the Anafi. The video gets laggy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm using the Samsung S9+ with the Anafi - no issues here. I like the app alot. To improve the range put your phone into airplane mode and try 5.8ghz.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just answered my own question. The Anafi is going to use the Freeflight 6 app, whch is not available now, at least for android
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have difficulty with the DJI app also. It stopped working completely with my s7, and works usually with my s9, but not without fussing. The Parrot app for the Bebop has been great. So far, the Freeflight 6 app for ANAFI has worked very well. Also, you can fly ANAFI without the app (and without worrying about NFZs), so I like it much better than dealing with my Phantom. You could fly a phantom without the DJI app, but you need the app to get permission to fly in some areas. Another option for you is the Autel Evo. Screen is built in, so no need for a phone at all. But they are in short supply.
