• Yes, Windows would boot from the SSD, and it has a recovery partition on the drive. Additionally, Windows 10 is free to download from Microsoft if you ever need recovery media.

• Most computers today don't come with recovery disks anymore. It has recovery options when setting up. It does boot from the M2 SSD. Make sure to change storage options to the 1 Terabyte drive as initial storage is defaulted to the ssd and you will run out of space.
