• I think the entire back slides off. It takes practice. I had trouble at first myself.

• Hey Joe. The whole bottom slids off. The easiest way to do it is to hold the controller upside down in your hand so the controller is facing toward your fingers then put your thumb on the bottom but not to hard and slide your thumb and the bottom of the controller I hope this helps.
