“Would these function if I buy two 4-packs (8 lightbulbs)? Or do I need a hub for more than 4 lightbulbs?”

I am currently using 8 Peace smart bulbs without a hub. Each bulb has to be connected one at a time to Wi-Fi. The only issue could be that the bulb is placed too far from the router to pick up a strong signal. I imagine that bulbs must not have a strong antenna, considering they are small objects. Your phone may get a signal, but the bulb won't. I had to use an extender for some of the bulbs.

Hi Lily, Thank you for your interest in our BR30 Smart Bulbs; there is no limit to how many you connect without a hub.

You do not need a hub if you are using two 4-packs. I have six set up and don't need a hub. However, the interface of the app is not very intuitive so be aware of that before purchasing.
