• You need a dual band with 2.4g to work the plug. Most routers have this. Won't work on 5 g.

• My provider did the same and I just had to split the networks and connect my plugs to the 2.4GH.

• BEWARE!!! if your ISP provides you with or upgrades you to 5g speed, these plugs will not work!! Even with a dual 2h/5g router that I have from Netgear, once Cox cable upgraded my internet speed to 5g, these 2g plugs BECAME WORTHLESS!! I had 12 old plugs... add that up!! :(
