• It's rated for shaded areas, but mine is placed where it is in full sun during parts of the day and the picture is terrific.

• 500 nits is bright enough to combat ambient light in the environment, but the Neptune Outdoor TVs are not engineered to be placed in direct sunlight and need to be installed in shaded areas.
