• A:Answer Yes, that's exactly what I have. Only a couple inches from the wall. If you constantly have to change cords you may want a different wall mount. You'll have to constantly take the tv off the wall to input the cords. Otherwise, it's perfect.

• A:Answer No it cannot be mounted sideways. The top half slips into slots on the part that mounts to the wall and if you turned it sideways the unit may come loose and fall.
