• This is totally wireless. You can either use it with the bulb or sync it with a Hue Hub. Use your wired switch to turn the lamp on the use this for on/off & dimming. It mounts on any surface. Highly recommend.

• The dimmer actually does not require any cables. It is battery operated and can be placed anywhere. The dimmer connects wirelessly to the bulb.
