• Sorry not sure what generation it is I've only been using Hughes lights products and switches for about five months didn't know about them before that sorry

• I believe only the color lights have a gen associated with them, the gen2 hub is the latest hub, the gen3 color lights have more vibrant colors, but are otherwise the same.

• There isn't multiple generations of the plain white bulb or dimmer but it's 100% compatible with all generations of the hub.

• The bulb is a soft white. It is not the hue color gen 3 if that's what you are asking.
