No. To the best of my knowledge, you need the hub.

Please try again later.I'm pretty sure you can't because you need the Hub to do anything with the Hue app, including configuring which lights this dimming switch will control. That said, you can probably pick up the first gen Hub for cheap...I already have 3 of them I'm not using from when I bought different lighting kits that came with a hub because the kits were less expensive than buying the lights individually. I also upgraded to the 2nd gen hub for HomeKit support (a waste of money so far because I haven't gotten around to setting up the HomeKit settings).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No you can not. You have to have the hub. You can purchase the light strip as a bundle with the bridge. The switch come connected to the light bulb out of the box but if you want to add bulbs to it or control it from your phone you have to reset it so you can add it to your hue system.
