Yes you're able to put them in an outside light as long as it's close enough to pick up the wifi. However you'll only be able to turn them on if you are connected to the wifi on your phone and the signal is strong enough. The only reason you wouldn't be able to do that is if your connection isn't strong enough.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, that shouldn't be any problem. Since they're LED bulbs, they don't really get hot; even after lengthy use. They should be fine in an enclosure and they should still be able to work as long as they are within range of your bridge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Any place you can screw in a light bulb, you can put these. You can then program a "routine" in the Hue app to turn on the lights. It will detect when your phone is within a certain proximity and flip on the light in whatever color you want. It's very cool!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Using the Hue application you can use geofence to turn the lights on, and off when you leave or arrive home. Only thing, you must make sure that your bridge is able to communicate to the bulbs that are outside.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can do that. In the app there is a setting to make the lights come on when you arrive home.
