“Can the part that screws into the existing housing be removed at the orange plug? My housing is for an led and doesn't have the traditional socket that these appear to work with but it does have an orange plug which I assume is universal.”

• Yes. The orange plug can be disconnected and the socket discarded. The orange plug from a hue light will plug into you existing orange socket. Good luck.

• Its probably not universal but you can wire nut them or go to menards and buy a Ideal brand wire disconnect.
