A:AnswerNo, just bought another one (my 3rd kit) and still has the older hub. I've only seen the new hub in a kit with two "white" light bulbs (non-color changing) and as a separate item.
A:AnswerThe bulbs are designed to work on a non-dimmable switch. I swapped my dimmer out to play it safe because partial power could definitely damage the bulbs and they're not exactly cheap. Before the Hue lights I had Cree and GE LED lights which over a short period of time began flickering and burning out. There are designated LED dimmable switches, but if you're going to spend money to buy those, I would just swap out for a standard switch because these bulbs already dim and this switch is much cheaper
