• If by HUB you mean the Bridge the answer is YES. You do need one. Light bulbs can be paired with a dimmer switch directly without the bridge. So far the description reads strips require a bridge to work.

• No...hue has a limit on total number of bulbs, motion, dimmer switches. I have one hub, and it controls everything including light strips.

• Nope, your strip lights can be connected to the same hub. Up to 50 lights I think can be controlled by a single hub, no matter the type.
