Only plug the hub to the power socket and to your router (included cables), download the app, then screw in the bulb and follow the in-app instructions. All in all, it took me about 5 minutes to start, then about 30 seconds each bulb.

These are so easy to set up and the technology is simple. The app provides a walk through so with a little patience you will be up and running in no time.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you need the hue brick to be wired to a router for internet access to control the lights through your phone. If it’s not connected, all you can do with the lights is turn it on with normal lighting brightness. You don’t need to install a switch, just have the switch turned on at all times and control the light through your phone to turn it off/on.
