• No, just hue branded lights. The hub can control up to 50 lights/units such as a light strip.

• No. To my knowledge lifx and GE don’t require/need hubs.

• I have read somewhere that there are other brands that will work, but you'll have to do some googling to find details. Adding a smartthings hub will make integration easier.
