A:AnswerYou have to get the Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus, if you already have them it just connect s to the end of the light strip and extends it for another 40 inches.
A:AnswerUnfortunately, it would not work. Hue currently does not sell extension cords to place this on a different cabinet. Now I wouldn't recommend it but I've seen other users buy third party extensions on Amazon and have not had issues. Again, I wouldn't want to recommend as if something were to happen it could void your warranty through Best Buy if you have one. Remember it needs power and the only power that is given is through the main strip, so you'll need an extension. Hoping Hue comes out with one soon! All the best.
A:AnswerThey may be wired different and use different types of LEDs. There are different types of White LEDs and some lightstrips only have one type of white, others have both (Think incandescent light white versus florescent light white).
A:AnswerIt is required to use any lightstrip. Without that item, this extension will not function. The Philips Hue Light-strip Plus Dimmable LED Smart Light has the LED driver for the strip. I wish this item was titled by Phillips as a starter light-strip, because it is obscured that this is needed to use any other extension light-strip.
