Can these be used in an outdoor "motion light?" null

Perhaps, if the motion light fixture uses PAR-38 style bulbs. You would need to leave the unit powered all the time and let the motion sensor switch the lights on and off as required.

They can be used as outdoor motion if buy the outdoor motion sensor.

I wouldn’t see why not. Phillips Hue now makes a motion sensor that will be compatible with an Hue light.

Apparently on my motion light detector it does not properly work well. Once the motion is triggered for some odd reason it just stays on and never lights out again. I'm not sure if it is my detector that is not working properly or not i am not quite sure what is happening. I prob wouldn't use it with motion detector though.

The Hue system has a motion detector that can be linked to any/all of the lights. Not sure if it's waterproof, but if you can put the motion detector somewhere a bit protected from rain, you should be able to use this light as a motion detector.

Phillips has a flood light that can be used outside. The standard hue light isn't rated for outdoor weather nor are they water resistant.

No reason to put in a motion control light. The purpose for these lights is to use your VOICE to control not a motion detector.
