• The Hue hub requires an Ethernet connection. But you could always use a wireless bridge and connect the Hue hub to that.

• Have this connected via the SmartThings hub, which must be directly connected to an ethernet connection to your router. I haven't personally seen any hubs that are wireless to date, but am sure some company is working on it.

• The bridge itself needs to be hooked up to your wireless router via an ethernet cord. We keep the bridge on top of our wireless router.

• From what I can tell setting up mine, it can only be connected with an Ethernet cable.
