- Answer The Hue Bridge included in this starter kit is the Gen 2 variant. The Gen 2 Bridge is square with rounded corners, while the Gen 1 Bridge is completely circular and is also quickly losing support with many smart home platforms.

QuestionHow many additional A19 light bulb will the bridge support? For example can I purchase other A19 that’s not in the same starter kit as the bridge and use the same bridge.

- Answer The hue bridge can control up to 50 lights, and yes you can add any Hue A19 light to the bridge, this is done thru the app.

QuestionWhat is the difference between this model# (548545) and model# 471960 starter kit also on the site? Both have the same price ($199). Only difference seems to be in the lumens (800 vs 806), but I assume this is a typo if these are both Gen4 bulbs?

- Answer Not sure but this particular one (model 548545) matches the UPC on the phillip's hue website. And this is the only white and color ambiance kit listed there.
