“How long does the charger last? What does it mean when the toothbrush turns on by itself? And when placed on the charger, it vibrates in sequences of 1,2,3, which is unbelievably annoying, and it didn’t do that before.”

Sounds like you need a replacement. Always purchase the warranty!
