• The biggest difference is that you no longer have to go in to the menu and switch from Apple CarPlay to android auto it automatically knows once you switch the phones you still shouldn't have them plugged in at the same time though

• The 4100 doesn't support the iDataLink Maestro OBDII integration, for one.

• Another major difference for more modern vehicles is the ability for the 4200NEX to use the iDatalink Maestro wiring kit for retention of many factory options. Contact your local Best Buy to find out if the Maestro is compatible with your vehicle as well.

• They are very similar, this is the newer model. The 4100 NEX was last years model and will likely be cleared out.
