“no video output to any display I've tried hooking this up to my pioneer tv ... but nothing it will not pass a video signal through hdmi from apple tv or set top box, i can see the ui come up in 480 but regardless of what i set apple tv to or set top box nothing just black tried every input tried hdmi pass through setting turned on what gives my tv isn't 4k but it should pass through 720p 1080i 1080p correct why make a reciever that only outputs 4k when there is very little 4k content avaliable?”

This seems to be a setting issue. Are you setting it to output 4K and connecting to non 4K devices? Want a free bypass of technology? This kind of issue is usually caused by not reading manuals. There is a small chance that the unit may have an issue and you can take it to the shop to have them check or provide a replacement. Are you expecting that they would be selling these units with a design flaw as this?
