“Defaults to Stereo if no Dolby Digital signal is present. When I have it on Dolby Digital and it goes to commercial that is in stereo, it defaults to stereo opposed to Pro Logic. When I have it on Dolby pro logic and the content is coded in stereo all is good, however when it receives a Dolby Digital signal, it switches to EXT Stereo. Does anyone know how to rectify this? I have had 4 Pioneer receivers over 15 years and have always been happy with them. I'm very familiar with the user interface and set up on these. Is there something I'm missing? This is a deal breaker for me.”

Happens to me also however I think the processor switches to the next closest format that would give the best possible sound. I have a very good ear for sound also and the sound difference is minute, try playing with your volume levels on each channel and maybe that might help
