As far as the CD player, you could have forgot that ones already in there and needs to be ejected or this model doesn’t have one. Otherwise there shouldn’t be a reason for that to happen. As far as the bass, press gently on the center knob then rotate back or forth until you see the word audio on the screen. Once this happens, just press in on the knob again where you will turn the knob to select from what’s there and keep doing this proses until you find what you want. When finished just it the back button on the left hand side of the center knob you just used. It’ s just a little lower of it too. Hope this helps.
