  • QuestionSiriusXM ConnectionWill this receiver connect to my factory SiriusXM tuner/antenna (2007 Jetta), or do I have to buy new?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer I would recommend contacting XM radio directly, but I am about as positive as you can be without seeing it that you will need a new tuner and that comes with an antennae. They standardized the connection in 2010 or later. I know this because I bought a Pioneer 7000BT in 2009 and then the XM unit was specific for Pioneer. In years that followed, the XM units sold were for all brands. I replaced that receiver with this Pioneer 9600BHS and I needed a new XM receiver and that came with a new antennae. Since your Jetta is 2007, you will need a new tuner to connect to it. The antennae may be compatible, but the tuner is not sold separately. Antennas are though, since they are sometimes damaged during window replacements.
