QuestionDoes using a high resolution portable audio player improve the quality of the music in car audio?

- Answer It totally depends on the type of car audio system that you have. In my car I have a bose 12 speaker system with 500 watt amplifier and subwoofer. Yes in this system it makes a difference over playing mp3 files. I play high end flac file format and it sounds great.

QuestionI've only been exposed to mp3 players and download personal music from my laptop because I still like collecting cds....unlike the ipod and having to get iTunes, can I download straight from my laptop music library to this unit?

- Answer Yes, you will be able to if you tell the computer to read the player as a USB storage unit. Also, Pioneer provides their own software to transfer files called X-Dap link You can add your computer's music folder to it. It has a great user interface and is easy to use. Since we can't post links in our answers, google the product name and go to Pioneer's page for it. About 2/3rds of the way down, you will see the URL and further information.
