how does the navigation get updated? null

While it says it can be updated, I have found that you can not update the GPS. After installing the required software, I tried to update it only to get an invalid license error. I talked to Planet Audio and they basically said they could replace the radio, but I would still get the same error. In not so many words, they are using GPS software with no license to use it.
