The first one is by dialing the number directly from your mobile and the second one is using the voice assistant of your mobile (Siri, Google Now, S Voice, etc.) In order to use the voice assistant of your mobile, you will first need to make sure is already enabled and set up. Then, you will need to press the call button for 2 seconds, wait for the phone prompt and then tell the phone to dial the name of a stored contact.
