“Is this case all hard plastic or is it softer material around edges and front (rubber, leather, or some other material)?”

It’s more durable than plastic and comes up a little so if you drop it face down your screen should be fine

Some hard and soft on the edges and plastic

It is hard plastic on the back with a strip of leather. Hard rubber on the rim of the case including buttons.

It’s actually a bendable material. But still firm.
