• This is just an adapter for SD,Flash Cards and the like. Your program may ask if you want to delete what you download and the program will then delete them. Not the adapter

• I doubt it unless you mean erase the files or format it. I have not erased or deleted all files by reformatting a card but I am confident that you can.

• The Insignia card reader only reads, nothing else. If "cleaned up" means deleting the images or formatting the card, this must be done through the camera. Look at instructions that came with your camera in order to accomplish this task.
