A:AnswerI'd say thats a yes, as the same thing happened to me. I think its a way to deter bots (ya know, adding extra steps) but luckily mine went through. I dont think this is odd since I believe Sam's Club orders did the same thing? What I do think is weird is that it took 15 minutes as mine came after a few seconds. Taking into consideration I have my email app and medium to slow internet as well as the fact I did this over my phone- maybe that might have been a fluke or perhaps a lag in the site at the time.
A:AnswerJust go to Walmart's website and at 6 pm and 9 pm EST they will restock the PS5, but be fast because after like a minute it gets sold out again.
A:AnswerMy girlfriend ordered one at 6:20am Pacific Time.
She was logged in and the coming soon button changed to please wait and then it turned yellow. You have to immediately put in cart and start the checkout process.
I read a blog that says Walmart is releasing inventory at 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, and 9pm Eastern time. I can't find any info about Best Buy but maybe they are doing the same thing.
A:AnswerDoesn't matter. Even if they do have some, the website will just tease you buy putting it in the cart and then not letting check out before saying it's sold them all to bots.
A:AnswerIt's pretty frustrating for sure. When you've been a Sony Playstation diehard fan for decades and have literally been dreaming about this console only to have mind games be played when trying to actually purchase one. Of note another large retailer does show their launch time for today. I really wanted to get mine from Best Buy so I can get Geek Squad coverage.
A:AnswerIt says that on mine then switches to coming soon then back to sold out. I’ve been up for hours and it went to add to cart a few times and when I clicked it it kept saying they have high demand and they are having everyone go thru one more step before it can be added:/ they not saying what it is so ???!!
A:AnswerThat’s BS, blowing vape smoke into either console pretending they are burning up just shows the quality education and future leadership potential our youth have. Stop being a sheep and start being leaders.
A:AnswerI was on at midnight and it never said "out of stock" or anything, just "coming soon". A few days ago they had a countdown on the website saying it was going live at midnight but they removed the count down so that might have changed. I am still trying to figure this out myself.
A:AnswerUnfortunately, you won't be able to walk in and just buy one in-store. Sony made an official statement mandating all retailers to only allow sales for the PS5 to be online where customers can pick them up in-store or have them shipped: https://blog.playstation.com/2020/11/05/playstation-5-launch-day-ordering-update/
Keep an eye out on Best Buy and/or other retailers opening up orders though! All of them will probably get more stock on launch and some orders will be canceled. Those will probably be put back into the pool immediately for anyone to get.
A:AnswerIt’s going to be the same price as the one on the release date there might be a discount for bundles but the Console it self is not 100% guaranteed to happen.
