It depends on what your desktop will take, the best option for you to do is go to http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/systemscanner and it will do a scan and tell you what you have and what you can upgrade to. Then look to see what BestBuy has and purchase from them.

I have had a couple of all in one pc's that actually used laptop memory and not desktop memory. there really isn't a way to tell unless you physically open it up and look.
