Yes, music, video, just about any file type - it is just additional storage or backup, as needed.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately my car does not have a USB plug, so I can't really answer the question. I do have a friend however that I did add music to his thumb drive and he said it worked just fine. As far as how many songs, I have a collection of MP3 songs that I have loaded on a 64 G drive and it holds just over 12000. That's a lot. However, if you don't MP3 them, you probably cut that down my 10 or more. Good luck.l

There's no specific answer, because songs vary in length, and the file size of each varies by audio quality (file type); however, the number is in the 1000's.

Each one of these holds 128 gigabytes of data, so it really depends on the size of the songs. If you assume that each song is a 4 megabytes MP3 file (they will vary though), that's going to be 250 songs per gigabyte. So, you can assume that it will hold 32,000 songs. But, since the drives don't have exactly "128" and some songs could be larger, I would say it's safe to assume that you could store 30,000 songs (might take a couple minutes to scan through 30,000 though).
