How do you remove cover without breaking a nail? null

You do not remove the cover. You just slide it back and forth to expose the end.

Grasp the drive in one hand and use your forefinger and thumb to pull or push the cover down towards the other end of the drive until the plug is exposed. If you can't do this easily then you should return it and get another drive or refund. Make sure that you are not trying to pull the cover off completely. It should never separate from the drive.

OMG THIS HAD ME CONFUSED TOO! As others have stated you don't pull it off, you push the usb drive 'out' and the cover stays on, see photo.

Not sure if this helps. The black piece slides on the white piece, it doesn't come off. I'm able to grip it with my fingers and slide it without any issues.

If it's the cover when you first buy it, I believe it's clear, simply push the black piece upward. If you are having trouble moving the black piece, try pulling the black piece on its sides, and pull towards you.

The cover will slide forward without using your nails and just the flat part of your fingers.

Yes it's very easy to remove just apple gentle pressure and it will come off with ease

I have not found it hard at all but then again I have normal close trimmed nails.

put tape on your nail, or cut it off

use e.g. keys or any other metallic objects near you
