• Yes. It does work for both Mac and PC. You don't have to format it, it will work out of the box.

• Yes, I used it to move pictures from a pc to an iMac, and it worked perfect.

• Usually all flash drives are compatible with any system. What you will need is to format it using a computer with that specific system. I don´t know if there is a way to use a flash drive formatted on windows in a mac computer though.
