• I don't know if you get Acronis for free but there is a solution. Go to http://www.aomeitech.com/ and download their free version of "Backupper" It has the same features as Acronis.

• I looked and PNY did not have any cloning utilities available. I had another laptop with Acronis on it, and used that to clone the drive from the target laptop to the PNY SSD. Had a warning about not being able to boot the clone, but that was for if I installed the drive on the laptop I was using to clone the disk with.

• Use AOMEI partition assistant software. It is free and can handle the imaging and resize. Acronis can only handle the imaging and depending on your configuration it may have issues on reboot. AOMEI handled it without a reboot.

• You would need to purchase it separately. I have used acronis for several years now and I really like the ability to clone whole disks, with multiple partitions.

• I wasnot able too, but based on what you need it for you can get several of the older Acronis programs just to migrate the OS for free if you look for them online. You just need to ensure the one you need works for your partition. Otherwise, from Acronis' own website you can download what you need, and if it it only one install you can usually grab it for a decent price. If this is on a Macbook, just use SUPERDUPER!. Superduper! is free.

• No, Unfortunately, it doesn't come with migration option. You can purchase it separately for low cost. There are some free migration software options(TODO backup) as well.
