• Yes this comes out of the box formatted in FAT32.

• These PNY flash drives worked with my Mac right out of the package, no formatting required. I cannot say if this is true for PC computers...

• No, they're not formatted because everyone runs a different OS. Anytime you buy a storage device you have to format it before you use it the first time so it's compatible with your OSS and your devices

• Fit what? It is formatted out of the box for Windows it needs s simple for mating to be a Mac format.
