This will not work. You need registered ECC memory for this machine. We do not manufacture this type. PNY Brand Champion
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.looking at the system spec for the machine it can use : 16 DIMM slots, up to 512 GB, 8-channel ECC DDR3, up to 1866 MT/s, 4 channels per CPU The only thing I notice is that the memory in question is not ECC memory.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The short answer is no, because this is unbuffered ram. I'll have to get smaller stick of ram. Your Z820 can only take 2 or 4 GB sticks of unbuffered DDR3 ram. You can put up to 32 GB of unbuffered ram in your system. If these sticks were registered ram, then you could use 4, 8 and 16 GB DDR3 sticks, but the sticks you are asking about are not. You can have up to 256 GB, single processor, or 512 GB, dual processor, registered ram. Also, you can not mix unbuffered and registered ram. So, then you'd have to make sure you don't already have registered ram in your Z820, if you are going to add ram to it. If you are adding ram, then you'll have to figure out the kind of ram that is already in it. If you are just replacing all the ram, then you can use either. Also take into account your operating system, for a 32 bit OS can only use 4 GB ram total, and a 64 bit OS can use over 4 GB total ram. I hope this helped you out.
