• It comes with the cord to charge up the phone. That cord can then reverse to charge up the device. The only time you need two cords is if you want to charge it and charge phone at same time.

• I just use my power cord that has a USB end to it and no need to buy an additional cord.

• Mary, The exact contents of the box are a rechargeable unit and a short 6" cord. The cord has a Micro USB connector and a standard USB connector. What you need to purchase additional is a wall plug or cigarette lighter plug with a USB port in it for the short cable.
