Q: Questionwill this work with an old dell desktop or strictly for gaming mother boards?

• A:Answer It will certainly work, but most likely at the frequency which the motherboard is set to run. if the board caps it for example at 2133MHz then you better get a 2666MHz memory kit that features a CAS latency of 14 or maybe CL15 for 2666MHz.
