QuestionDo these speakers run on batteries or do they need to be plugged in or are they USB charged? Since they would be placed outside, they may not be placed closed to any plugs. Is this a problem?

- Answer Hello, the Polk Audio Atrium speakers do not require AC power. The speakers are to be hard lined using speaker wire to an amplifier. A professional installer can assist with the speaker wire run using outdoor speaker wire.

QuestionCan these speakers lay on there side or stand up without the bracket, like bookshelf speakers?

- Answer Yes. They got a flat bottom. And an angled side So if you lay it on its side they'll point on an upward angle slightly.
