The Polk S55 is an 8-ohm speaker with a recommended amplification of 20-200 watts per channel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The signature series is an excellent line, and I recommend them to anyone who wants to upgrade their current system. The lineup includes the SS-50's, 55's, and 60's. The amplification specs on each are 20-150 watts for the 50's, 20-200 watts for the 55's, and 20-300 watts for the 60's. An adequate receiver that provides around 100 watts-per-channel will fit the bill just fine.
